42 tells the inspiring true story of baseball legend Jackie Robinson and Branch Rickey, whose determination helped break Major League Baseball’s color barrier in 1947. When Rickey signs Robinson to the Brooklyn Dodgers, both men face intense racism and opposition from fans, the media, and even fellow players. Despite the challenges, Robinson’s courage, talent, and perseverance change the sport forever and become a powerful symbol in the fight against racial discrimination. The film focuses on courage, equality, perseverance, and the impact one person can have on history.
